Always a kid at heart.

Shirt - Joe. Shorts - Kit for Cloth. Shoes - Blink. Bracelets - Vintage/Coombs Market.

I love these shoes, I rarely wear them though for some reason and my best friend and I have aways argued about whether it was supposed to be a bear or a hamster, but they make me happy.
And I made a cornbread cake yesterday afternoon, we all thought it sounded a bit strange but it's amazing. And since no one ever uses our huge amount of fresh rhubarb from our garden I made a Blueberry Rhubarb sauce to go with it. Too bad the cake got stuck in the pan and became cake mush, but still tasty.

Go Green.

Vneck - Gap. Jeans - Levi. Shoes - Modern Vintage. Jacket - Vintage. Bracelets - Vintage and Flea Market.

I love this corner of my yard during the summer, closest thing I can get to the huge parks/forests I used to play in while growing up on Vancouver Island. Also reminds me of the secret garden.
I'm supposed to go to my friends grad on Saturday now, long story, boyfriend issues on her side. Not too excited for the actual ceremony but the dinner/dance/pictures are always fun, atleast they were at my grad, plus I get to dress up and most likely wear one of the two pairs of shoes I just bought.

Both pairs - Aldo.

Deck the Halls

Jeans - Buffalo. Tshirt - Joe. Jacket - Oui Moments. Shoes - Betsey Johnston. Bracelets - Vintage.

There was a Christmas movie on tv this morning which I found sort of strange, I've seen TV shows have Christmas episodes in the middle of the year while going through previous seasons but never an actual full length movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody

Dress - Thrift. Necklace - Vintage. Boots - Gift from Italy. Bag - Buffalo.

My friend and I were talking about recognizable classic rock songs last night which ended up in an argument with our other friend who claimed Queens Bohemian Rhapsody wouldn't fall into that cataroy. I've have had an interesting few days though. I wore this a couple days ago, now the weather has turned to a cool, rainy, rather dreary sky, which I actually love. Reminds me of Februarys' back home.

Light and airy

Lace cami - H&M. Sheer blouse - Say What?. Shorts - Talula. Shoes - Bandolino.

Everything it turning green but my legs are still pale enough to blind people. I actually like being pale though, tanning has never been my thing. I'm excited to dress for this summer though, usually I give up and live in tanks and shorts for the warmer months but I hopefully see lots of flowy blouses and dresses in my future.
And my television just informed me of organic cotton candy that is sold in grocery stores, I'll have to investigate this next time I'm out, I love cotton candy as well at Food TV.

Puppy Love

Dress - AA. Tshirt - Unknown. Tights - Rampage. Shoes - Aldo. Jacket - Oui Moments.

Some older man walking past my house leaned over my fence and started talking to me about my dog while I was outside with my camera, It was a slightly awkward moment. But overall it was a fairly decent day, although I can't find Lychee nuts or Creme Fraiche anywhere in my town, which is frustrating, guess I have to make a trip into this city this weekend.

Bubble Tea.

As a pleasant surprise one of my good guy friends stopped at the bubble tea shop off Whyte yesterday on his way home from summer classes at the U and brought me some. I was just saying to him the other night how I hadn't had it in awhile and I also hadn't seen him in a long time so it was nice.
The trees are also finally starting to bud out and I can't wait till everything turns green and pretty.

Tshirt - Joe Fresh. Jeans - Buffalo. Blazer - Ralph Lauren. Shoes - Modern Vintage. Purse - MBMJ.

Cutouts

I saw these at the mall the other day and wasn't sure what to think about them but I haven't been able to get them out of my mind since. I'm not sure if I'm crazy or not but I'm so tempted to go snatch them up.

It's hard to grasp my mind around the fact that my parents are away skiing this weekend when it's been reasonably nice weather here, a bit windy today but I won't complain. I walked to the store to get things for supper earlier and tried out the Aldo heels, they're actually really comfortable.

V-neck - Gap. Skirt - Homemade. Tights - Unknown. Shoes - Aldo. Coat - Oui Moments. Bag - UO.

Button me up

My dad recently cleaned out his closet of two bags of XL button up shirts. He was just going to donate them all but I rummaged through them and stole any with fabric or prints I liked, thinking I'd do something with them eventually. So this morning I got bored and after staring at one of these shirts for about five minutes decided it could be a skirt. I actually really liked how it turned out and will probably make another one.
I also picked up these shoes a few days ago, which I haven't been able to wear yet since we've been having constant rain, but just noticed could go nicely with above skirt.

Octopie

Lately I've been obsessed with all things octopus inspired. I grew up right next to the ocean in both BC and New Zealand and have always had a love for it. Mostly my love of sea creatures over the years have been directed at whales but I find myself being more and more drawn to octopus, something about the tentacles I think.
