Strawberry Fields

So After my last post I had a friend commit suicide, when it rains it pours so to speak. But the last week has been quite enjoyable, lovely weather as well.
Spent most of today outside, picked some strawberries in my yard and just walked through a park with some friends. I thought it would be unbearably warm, but there's a nice breeze that keeps everything almost perfect. Sad to think that in two months we'll be getting snow when it's over thirty today. Brutal reality of living in Alberta.

Rise again?

Sorry for the lack of, well, everything for the past month (alright, closer to two). It's been quite the roller coaster but things have started to pan out, I've settled into my job/working on starting my apprenticeship, and dealt with some deaths and other emotional crap.
But if anyone still reads this I'll hopefully be back to posting in the next week. :)

Flowy, Floral and Paisley

My friend needed an anti boy excursion last weekend so we went shopping, I usually don't use clutches so I'm not sure why I bought one, I just loved the colour. It also has a chain strap that you can detatch. If nothing else it fits nicely in my larger bags to keep things organized.



I have formal training for my job on Tuesday, yay. But I have to go find some new bottoms this weekend since I can only wear denim on Fridays. It also states not to wear sweatshirts, which I'm not sure what that includes. Obviously pullover hoodies are out but are chunky knit zip ups really considered a sweatshirt? Not that it matters quite yet since it's summer, but I do get cold easily.

Babies and Mini Skirts

Ahh sorry for the lack of posts and commenting, it's been a crazy week and I've just been lazy as well. But as of June 6th, 1:33 am I am the quasi aunt to a beautiful baby girl whom I can't wait to meet, I saw pictures last night and all three of them are hoping to come down and visit soon.

I'm also in the middle of figuring out my next AA order, trying to fill in some basic gaps and am torn between whether or not to get the Shiny Late Night Mini Skirt. When I first saw it I thought it would prove to be unwearable for much more then clubs but now that I've seen a few people wearing it, and pulling it off quite well i might add, it seems to have grown on me a fair bit.

I love these shoes, I rarely wear them though for some reason and my best friend and I have aways argued about whether it was supposed to be a bear or a hamster, but they make me happy.
And I made a cornbread cake yesterday afternoon, we all thought it sounded a bit strange but it's amazing. And since no one ever uses our huge amount of fresh rhubarb from our garden I made a Blueberry Rhubarb sauce to go with it. Too bad the cake got stuck in the pan and became cake mush, but still tasty.

I love this corner of my yard during the summer, closest thing I can get to the huge parks/forests I used to play in while growing up on Vancouver Island. Also reminds me of the secret garden.
I'm supposed to go to my friends grad on Saturday now, long story, boyfriend issues on her side. Not too excited for the actual ceremony but the dinner/dance/pictures are always fun, atleast they were at my grad, plus I get to dress up and most likely wear one of the two pairs of shoes I just bought.

There was a Christmas movie on tv this morning which I found sort of strange, I've seen TV shows have Christmas episodes in the middle of the year while going through previous seasons but never an actual full length movie.
