Yesterday was a lazy day, it finally warmed up and almost all of the snow has melted so I spend most of the day outside. My brother and I pulled out all the deck furniture from the shed and ate our lunch out there.

Pretty little trinkets

Life has been crazy busy the last few days. But not the good kind, the stressful kind where at the end of the day all you want to do is curl up in a warm bed and sleep. And the two feet of snow that's fallen in the last few days doesn't help.
But I found this belt in a box of my Grandmas stuff. My mom isn't a fan of it but I sort of like it.

Also found this pocket watch. It doesn't work anymore but I might get it looked at, it's one of the ones you have to wind so I'm not sure how easily that can be fixed.

My dad left for Montreal this morning to meet with some social workers and nursing homes for my Grandma who, as he finally decided to inform me last night, has progressing dementia and may not even remember who his is when he gets out there. But I picked her up a Willow Tree figurine anyways, in case she's has a good day while he's out there.

Last nights outfit; Still can't find my camera. I have todays outfit to post as well but for some reason blogger is doing something weird with the coding when I try to import it from my photobucket, so it will have to wait.

Deconstruction

I was digging around in my closet this morning and came across a peach linen blazer way in the back with all the tags still on it. It's a few sizes too big and had huge shoulder pads in it, but I thought it may look cute for summer.

So I spent about fifteen minutes, snipping and pinning and stitching till I had a still over sized but shoulderpadless blazer. Now hopefully I'll find some ways to wear it.

Look, No pants

I've been feeling like poo the last couple days, which is bringing down the whole vibe of it warming up again. But I got a job, sort of. It's just a part time thing starting in a few weeks for my hairdresser but it could turn into full time over the summer if I want. Either way it's sort of exciting, I dislike the whole being poor, living off rebate cheques thing.
And everyone seems to want to play with my hair, one of my friends brought up the possibility of hair modeling for him and my hair dresser wants me to do a demo thing for a new line of hair dyes they're stocking.

But here's what I threw on this morning to run over to the post office in.

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Gah, Sweeney Todd is freaking amazing. I should have seen this months ago seeing as how I counted out the days till it released in theaters, then no one would go with me and I didn't want to ruin the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp magic by watching a poorly streamed video of it online. So I waited, and waited, and went to three stores where it was sold out but now i am in complete movie lust.

Brighten the Day

I felt like countering the gross weather yesterday with my clothes. Tyler said I looked like I came out of a kids story book, I should have been dancing around in the rain with some little ducks or something.
And I left my camera at his house again so webcam pics for now, and poorly photoshoped bunny heads.

Titleless

I can't come up with a title and I think mother nature is smiting me. Yesterday was lovely, up until about eight o'clock when I stepped outside on my way to meet up for coffee with a friend and noticed random white specks fluttering around. By the time we had walked the ten minutes to the coffee shop the wind and snow had picked up greatly and we all woke up to almost a foot of snow and an expected four more inches before nightfall.

But hours before this I had managed to find some cute lightweight tops, which is one thing I've always had problems with. I tend to resort to tanks and camis a lot in warmer weather, hopefully that will change this year.

Brown sandals - Modern Vintage, Yellow wedges - Shoes for Lovely People

All for less them 200$, which I don't think is bad considering the brown shoes retail for over that.
And I also dropped my resume off at a local spa so we'll see how that goes.
